Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, registering a SACCO, or using Imara, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Description of service

Imara is SACCO management software that helps cooperatives in Uganda record members, savings, shares, and loans, and produce reports for internal use.

Record-keeping platform

Imara is a record-keeping platform. SACCOs remain responsible for their own funds and for their own regulatory compliance, including compliance with the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority (UMRA) and the Ministry of Cooperatives. SACCO Circle does not hold member funds and does not act as a regulator.

User responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate and current information when registering and using the service.
  • You must only use the service if you are authorised by the SACCO to do so.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity on your account.
  • You must not use the service for unlawful purposes or to upload data you do not have a right to use.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Imara is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for losses caused by the SACCO's own errors, decisions, or regulatory non-compliance.

Governing law

The service is governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda.
